Pushing Daisies was just as delightful and charming as it was last year. I know that it isn't necessarily a show for everyone but I just love it so very much. Everything about the Betty's Bees plot was perfection. This show is just like honey, sweet but not too sweet.

I'm also really enjoying the fall this year. It's so beautiful here in the Adirondacks. Once you look at my pictures you will wish you were here. We were just before peak this weekend but then it started to rain which meant a lot of leaves fell and pushed us past peak. There is still a lot of gorgeous color around but some of it is on the ground. I took most of these pictures on Monday when it was raining but some of them yesterday when it was sunny. Those look a little more brilliant but I like the rainy ones as well. You can see them here at my Flickr account. There are also some Winter Carnival pictures from last year.

That's how I felt about most of Into the Wild. I don't know if I direct it more at the guy in the movie or at Sean Penn but they are both extremely punch worthy. I did like Hal Holbrook and the part with Vince Vaughn but the rest was not that great, also the aforementioned desire to punch.

I keep having to stop myself from watching The Wire because there are only seven (7!) episodes left EVER and I don't want it to be done yet.

Jericho came back tonight and it was awesome in the way that Jericho is. There was Stanley and Mimi! And Robert Hawkins!

(Have I mentioned how there was a Robert Hawkins in Cloverfield only it was lies because the end would have been much different if the real Hawkins was there.)

Yay! Jericho! I have no other words!

It are Fact

That shows with lesbians are better than other shows. This is why The L Word is awesome. It has practically only lesbians.

I no longer hate Max. I kind of want to get bangs because Jenny looks cute in them. Relatedly I think that Jenny is who you might get if you mixed Blair Waldorf and Dan from Gossip Girl into one great lesbian package, which they both practically are anyway so it is not much of a stretch.

Spoilers for the last episode )

Also I think that Supernatural and I have parted ways. It no longer brings me joy and instead only makes me upset so I won't be watching.

This episode of Law and Order has the jumping off point of the Pants Lawsuit. Hilarious!

ETA: And poison toothpaste!

Today I bought My So Called Life on DVD. The brand new DVD set that came out today. And it is so lovely. I couldn't not buy it. I'm really happy. It's the kind of show you have to buy. One season of perfection needs to be purchased.

In more "Kill it with Fire" news they are remaking Spaced. For FOX. BY McG! I do not approve. They are going to ruin Daisy and since Daisy is one of my favorite characters ever this is going to be traumatic. I will not be able to watch it.

In happier news of Spaced I found this clip this summer and it fills me with joy. That is the real end and no one can tell me different.

This week's Grey's Anatomy is actually why I'm still watching. Because when they get it right the show can be better than anything else.

I have finally acheived TV. It makes my room look pretty sweet. Also TV all the time.

Reaper was just about the best pilot I've seen all year. It rocks. It's all the things I love about movies made by and about dudes but with the sensibility of girls, thus awesome!

I have to go to sleep but I need to take a moment to discuss the hilarious show I just watched. It's called The Kill Point and as near as I can tell it is like The Nine only where that was attempting quality this is not. I did enjoy this first episode where Donnie Wahlberg is obsessed with correct grammar and gay people are better than other people (this is natural but I'm surprised that a show produced by Spike would demonstrate this message.)

I'm still terribly upset about Deadwood. Today's Deawood thought is: Would Seth Bullock ever learn to control his temper? Would I even want him to?

I love John From Cincinnati. It's weird in a way that is very cool and I can' t wait to watch the rest of the show. David Milch does kind of own me because he is great. For evidence of his his crazy awesomeness you should watch this. He talks about what JFC is about and why he doesn't have laces in his shoes (this will make sense once you watch the clip.)

John From Cincinnati is great for lots of reasons. It has quite compelling characters and a potentially interesting plot. Also the term Shitbird will likely be used, which is cool. I suggest people should check it out.

John from Cincinnati can't possibly be all bad if they are going to use "Shitbird" on a regular basis.

I have no idea how to start this entry. I have a lot of things to say but not one to start with.

I'll start with the crazy. Apparently over on [livejournal.com profile] grave_watchers someone started to write a really long explanation of why Kristen Bell is an evil bitch and probably eats puppies. It was locked but someone decided that this crazy was too good not to share. If you want to laugh go here and read up on a "TV insiders" in depth knowledge of why Kristen Bell is an awful human being. Be sure to read all the things that she (he?) links to because the in depth analysis is what elevates this to a true art of internet crazy instead of just normal crazy.

It did make me think about Veronica Mars and why I was really not happy with the finale. slight spoilers ) That's really all I have to say. Veronica Mars, it was nice to know you.

One more thing: God I ended up hating Logan so much by the end of the show. He was such a giant creep. That would have been the real up side to VM:FBI no more Logan and maybe then the crazy Logan fans would get away from the show.

Also I have tomorrow off so certain people should give me a call maybe.

I keep signing up for ficathon type things. It's forcing me to write things which is good. They are all in fandoms that I've never written in before so it's kind of scary but I'm just diving in all the way.

Jericho is coming back! Woo! And the press release ended "PS Please stop sending us nuts." That's the best part. Aside from the more Jericho obviously.
brigid31: (Marioli-Doctor Who)
Futurama you never get less funny you only get more funny!

Doctor Who was simply amazing and made me cry. Every week I love Martha a little bit more. She is very very excellent.
brigid31: (Queen of Thorns -- Atia)
Traveler is my summer show for sure. It rocks! This week the guys just ran, like on foot for half of the episode. The preview seemed to indicate that this trend shall continue until we get an episode where they run for the entire hour, and shout at each other.

Also, guess who showed up [livejournal.com profile] lilly_plaid! Our old friend from Medical Investigation, Creepy Face DA. Of course if you aren't watching the show and therefore had to guess we might have a problem.
brigid31: (Queen of Thorns -- Atia)
Since Lost was apparently all oh my god amazing last night I feel like I should watch and catch up to this point. Stupid national obsessions you can't even properly not watch them because it is like everyone wants you to watch them and then you do.

This is why that whole Just Say No thing didn't work, Nancy!

I will be watching the replacement for Lost show (not America Makes New Crap) but Traveler, which has just enough CrackedOut!Conspiracy action to keep me entertained. Also William Sadler and that lady who was a future lawyer from Century City (not the one who was on Drive.)

I watched half of Brokeback Mountain and then had to turn it off due to extreme depression. It's so achingly beautiful.
brigid31: (Narnia - Queen Susan)
Though they have about the combined intelligence of a monkey I'm growing to love the people of Jericho. Especialy when they leave Emily out of an episode. And they have plenty of Stanley and Mimi and Bonnie and Sean, Bonnie's idiotic but kind of lovely boyfriend.

If they cancel this show I will be so pissed.
