The snow we got last week has finally melted and it seems weirdly like it is spring because the ground smells all earthy and it's warm again after being cold and snowy. I'm dreading when actual winter starts up.

I have got to remember to sign up for Yuletide tomorrow. I just have to finish up with my requests.

But it is. If you were watching NBC news tonight and heard when they said parts of the Adirondacks could be getting between 6 and 12 inches of snow, I live in that part. It is officially winter. It isn't that cold but it sure is snowy.

Also I feel a little bit like I live in a bunker. Some of our windows are getting covered by giant pieces of foam (luckily covered in fabric so they aren't quite so crazy survivalist silver foam) but it kind of makes our house seem like some kind of bunker. But the kind where they put in fake windows in an effort to make it seem less like a bunker but it just makes it seem more so. It had only been a day and so far it has been okay but I don't know what it will be like to live like this all winter. I fear it shall be extra claustrophobic.
