The universe is telling me to do work. It's saying "Brigid you have been complaining about the amount of work you have to all day and the fact that you had to go to the screening thing. Your screening is canceled do work!!" And I am saying back "Entertain me internet!!"

I'm probably going to go do work soon but right now I'll update my LJ. (DUH!)

My life has been very overworked and involving me freaking out over the amount of work I have to do. But hopefully that will end soon (or at least be alleviated for a little while.) To this end, all I want to do are watch movies (and not the ones I have to for class.) But I actually got most of my work done and watched movies so life is pretty good. I want to watch the Star Wars DVDs very badly!! And while I don't necessarily agree with the changes (Lucas why did you put Hayden in WHY?) I can deal. Because Star Wars in brilliant DVD clarity on my TV screen. Of course I also want to watch the Old School versions and we have them but at home and I want to watch them now. Of course when I'm home for Study Days I could watch them. Also I totally know that Han shot first, it doesn't matter what the movie says.

I watched Singin' in the Rain and it is still totally one of my favorite movies ever. OMG! Donald O'Connor. He was my first ever celebrity crush and maybe some people find it weird but just look at him dance. And Gene Kelley is incredible. As always. Oh I adore that movie. And think that I can successfully work it into my conference paper about movies and sexuality. Because I decided that the topic is Sexuality of Song and Dance (in the movies.) I love when pleasure and work combine. (Also I need to find some way to write a paper about the sexuality of GQ. Because it is the most homoerotic magazine around and though I knd of love it for it, I think the whole "We're a straight man's magazine" is a lie. Because it is clearly so very gay!)

Oh and [livejournal.com profile] pride4u2 be very afraid. Someone capped the Battle of Yavin scenes from A New Hope and they included every possible Wedge cap!!! Expect me to post a big picspam of like just those pictures. And sice some of the computer lab computers have photo shop I am totally going to make icons. Be afraid very afraid!

EEEE!!! Wedge caps! I want the SW DVDs...my tapes are crap. My screening got...altered. They couldn't get the movie they originally wanted for the Fair Trade Panel I was at, so they're watching Outfoxed instead. And, as much as I would like to sit and laugh at George Bush for a couple of hours, I do have a paper to finish. So I left. Besides, I can laugh at him all I want when I see Fahrenheit 9/11 on Thursday. *snerk*

I think Outfoxed is more "Man Rupert Murdoch should not have that much control over our media!" But yeah that's why I didn't want to go to my screening. Too much work.

But you remember when I was obsessed with Wedge? It's coming back with a vengeance. OMG!! Need DVDs!! *flails* But anyway, am now committed to making Wedge icons. Because I needs one.
