Today I bought My So Called Life on DVD. The brand new DVD set that came out today. And it is so lovely. I couldn't not buy it. I'm really happy. It's the kind of show you have to buy. One season of perfection needs to be purchased.

In more "Kill it with Fire" news they are remaking Spaced. For FOX. BY McG! I do not approve. They are going to ruin Daisy and since Daisy is one of my favorite characters ever this is going to be traumatic. I will not be able to watch it.

In happier news of Spaced I found this clip this summer and it fills me with joy. That is the real end and no one can tell me different.

I am jealous of your my so-called life DVDs, as mine are lame and special-featureless.

I am also terrified of the disaster that a Spaced remake could be, but today is actually a good day for Mr.McG in my esteam, as I just watched this weeks episode of Chuck, where the last scene is just an elaborate gay O.C. joke. There's a first season O.C. episode where Marrissa and Ryan have a fight, and Ryan doesn't go to a new years party with Marissa, but then decides to go at the last minute. He busts in right before midnight while this totally dramatic song plays and they see each other from across the room and run over in slow motion and kiss right at midnight. On Chuck last night, he had a fight with his dorky friend Morgan, and at the end of the episode runs into the Halloweens party at his sisters house IN SLOW MOTION, to the SAME SONG, and they run up to each other AND... don't kiss, but it was still really funny, and only understandable if you are ridiculous, and saw a specific episode of another TV show that aired five years ago. SO... there you go.

That does sound like quite a good joke. But isn't it really a Josh Shwartz joke and not really McG? It's not that I hate McG or anthing (his guest appearance on Supernatural was hilarious and he did direct We Are Marshall -- even if he ruined all the emotion with his stupid name) but he shouldn't be anywhere near my beloved Spaced.

There is no real way for knowing if its a Shwartz joke or a G joke, they both executive produced both shows together. I choose to believe it was collaborative... in a gay way.

Never seen Spaced, but being on FOX, it'll be pretty much DOA. There hasn't been anything good on FOX since The X-Files and the last two seasons of that were really, really bad. I'd like to pretend they didn't happen (LALALA, I can't hear you!!).

Also: McG's the guy that directed We Are Marshall. Random piece of trivia.

It's not that I hate McG. He does fine work as who he is but Spaced is one of my very favorite shows and Daisy is a character extrememly near to my heart. They are going to make it all stupid and lame and ruin Daisy. I can't even fathom how awful it is going to be. You should watch Spaced as it is the same dudes who made Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and is amazing in all things.
