Atonement was a fantastic book and a very good movie. I didn't completely over identify with Cecilia the way I did in the book with the movie probably because there is less of Cecelia's viewpoint in the beginning when the over identification occurred.

It is also an exquisitely shot movie. I want to take screencaps of just about every scene because they are so well composed. I'm kind of shocked it didn't win for Cinematography on the strength of the shot at Dunkirk alone.
