brigid31I quite liked the movie but as always long for the details and time of the books.
I thought the Daily Prophet sequences were excellent. The paper looked as screwy as the wizarding world was and having the pictures move and talk really worked.
Luna Lovegood. She's one of my favorite characters and everything from her introduction to her exit was exactly right and great.
NEVILLE! I love Neville, seriously. He was so great in this movie and I'm glad that they didn't include the scene and St. Mungo's because I would have been bawling.
Harry was less shouty than the book but still believably angsty.
The Battle at the Ministry was great. It was actually scary and the visuals of the Department of Mysteries were quite good.
I thought they did a fine job of taking a very long book and making it a movie. A great of character was streamlined out of the movie and that's a shame. I wish we had spent more time with Dumbledore's Army and the slow way that people come over to Harry's side. I wish we had the full scene with Young Snape (who was so perfect) and more with Sirius. I hope they include more Order stuff in the next movie because I really really enjoy them and want to see more of them.
All in all though it was a good solid Harry Potter movie.
